Jae-Byung Jung
Lead Electrical Engineer

Dr. Jung has extensive industry experience in underwater system design and development such as hydroacoustic sonar systems and autonomous/unmanned underwater vehicles. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Electronics Engineering from Hanyang University, Korea, in 1993 and 1995, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2001 specializing in computational intelligence and its applications to adaptive sonar surveillance using neural networks and evolutionary optimizations. He joined BioSonics in 2011 as a Lead Electrical Engineer. His technical expertise also includes robotics, signal/image processing, and software engineering.
