Visual Analyzer- Fish and Plankton Assessment Software
Visual Analyzer is the solution for accurate assessment of fish and plankton stocks and hydroacoustic data visualization. BioSonics Visual Analyzer displays a color echogram for each data file produced by the DT-X Series Echosounders. It allows you to view any part of the data file at different thresholds and gains. You can also zoom in on a specific portion of a data file. Each ping can be displayed on an oscilloscope showing range and decibel voltage. The color echogram can be printed to any Windows™ supported printer. The entire data file, or selected portions, can be analyzed using echo integration techniques. Analysis of single targets can also be performed. Single target analysis can be used to scale echo integration using the built-in target strength calculation algorithms, or values can be entered manually. The analysis output file is in *.csv (comma separated variable) format, and can be imported directly into most statistical presentation software programs.

The main screen consists of a title bar, menu bar, tool bar, status bar, and client window. The menu bar contains the commands that affect the data analysis. The toolbar contains icons that represent shortcuts to many of the commands available from the menu
