BioSonics is delighted to announce the release of the DT-X series of portable scientific echosounders.
The DT-X series is the result of years of intense development and close consultation with the hydroacoustic research community. The new technology represents the next generation of the renowned DT series echosounders, which were first released in 1994. BioSonics has incorporated revolutionary new technology, including a fully programmable Linux based embedded processor and Ethernet wired or wireless communication.
New system architecture allows virtually unlimited control and deployment capabilities:
- Classic control with a portable computer attached
- Remote control, wired or wireless
- Autonomous operation above or below the surface with on board data storage
- Real time streaming data to multiple remote listeners
With the release of the DT-X series, BioSonics has again set the world standard for hi-resolution, portable, scientific echosounder technology.

The DT-X product line features BioSonics renowned digital transducers, single or spilt beam, 38 –1000 kHz. The system is capable of operating multiple transducers and frequencies from a single surface unit.
